When making liquid silicone crafts, sticking to the mold will cause damage to the mold.If you want to solve the problem of mold release sticking to the mold and you can't find the reason, here is a summary of some common mold sticking problems.

1. No release agent is required during use. Some molds are difficult to demould due to structural reasons. You can apply a layer of release agent before use to facilitate release.

2. If the inside of the mold is not cleaned before use and there is still glue on the mold after use, it will stick together with the remaining glue when the glue is injected again. Before use, please clean it first, wait for it to dry or wipe dry, and then use it.

3. The liquid silicone has not yet been fully cured, some parts have been cured, and some parts have not been fully cured. When demoulding, the dripping glue still has a certain viscosity and adheres to the silicone mold.Wait 24 hours before demoulding and removing the finished product.

Proper use of silicone molds will basically not cause mold sticking. Here is the solution.

Silicone mold surface treatment

1. The molding mold for silicone products should be cleaned before the hydraulic molding machine, especially the new mold that has just been removed must be sandblasted first.

2. Choose different anti-mildew cleaners.

3. The sandblasted silicone mold must be heated to a sufficient temperature before demoulding, and the release agent must be sprayed before molding.

Adjustment of mold temperature

Silicone products like to stick to the lower half of the mold temperature. When the temperature of the upper mold is 175°C and the temperature of the lower mold is 165°C, the silicone product will usually stick to the lower mold when the mold is lifted again.
