Method 1: In LED lamps, a layer of thermal conductive silicone is mainly added between the aluminum substrate and the heat sink, and the heat is transferred from the aluminum substrate to the heat sink through the thermal conductive silicone, so as to achieve good heat dissipation and ensure the heat dissipation effect.
Method 2: Add a thermal conductive silicone sheet between the aluminum substrate (PCB board) and the LED lighting housing.
Method 3: Add a thermal conductive silicone sheet between the aluminum substrate and the aluminum substrate.
Heat dissipation is the key problem to be solved in LED lamps, and before that, the heat conduction process is even more critical. The thermal conductive material used in the traditional heat dissipation mode is thermal conductive silicone grease, which is more economical in cost, but there are big problems when it needs to be applied over a large area, and it cannot be applied evenly.
Design advantages of thermal conductive silicone sheet:
1. Insulation: Thermal conductive silicone sheet has good insulation. The breakdown voltage of 1mm thick thermal conductive silicone sheet is above 8KV. When used in LED, the breakdown voltage of 0.3mm thick can reach above 4KV. Although thermal conductive silicone grease has good insulation itself, due to its extremely thin coating thickness, the heating device and the heat dissipation device are almost in direct contact. Therefore, when used, its insulation is not as good as that of thermal conductive silicone sheet.
2. Use: The size of thermal conductive silicone sheet can be cut arbitrarily, both sides are slightly sticky, and the operability is strong. Just tear off the protective film and apply it directly. The tolerance is small, clean, and labor costs are saved.
3. Aging resistance: Thermal conductive silicone sheet is in solid form. Compared with thermal conductive silicone grease, silicone oil is difficult to volatilize and has good aging resistance.
4. Form: Thermal conductive silicone grease is in the form of gel paste, and soft thermal conductive silicone sheet pad is sheet material.
5. Thickness: As a thermal conductive material for filling gaps, thermal grease is limited, and the thickness of soft thermal conductive silicone pads ranges from 0.3-10mm, with a wide range of applications.
6. Earthquake resistance: Thermal conductive silicone sheets are used for plug-in LEDs. If there are pins, the glass fiber cloth series of thermal conductive silicone sheets are soft and have good compressibility. They are ideal materials for filling gaps and can be used to resist earthquakes during transportation.
7. Reinstallation: Thermal conductive silicone sheets have slight stickiness, can be reused, and are easy to reinstall. Thermal conductive silicone grease has strong stickiness and is not convenient for disassembly and repair.
At present, LED thermal conductive silicone is widely used in high-power LED lamps, such as: LED fluorescent lamps, LED street lamps, spotlights, floodlights, tunnel lamps, underground lamps, wall washers, dyed vision lamps, etc.
